Stained Glass Suncatcher Workshops at Meow Wolf

 

Santa Fe Glass Works is excited to partner with Meow Wolf Santa Fe’s Rainbow Rainbow for a Stained Glass Suncatcher Workshop! Choose from over ten dopeeee designs to make a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. You will choose your pieces of glass from a variety of colors and textures of recycled art glass—then you'll cut, grind, foil, and solder your bespoke work of art.

Stained Glass Workshop at Santa Fe Glass Works

 
 
 

This is the full, immersive stained glass experience, perfect for beginners. You’ll get to choose your own pattern (10+ designs) and glass from a huge array of recycled art glass in many colors and textures. You'll trace your patterns, cut and break the glass, grind the pieces on individual tabletop wet grinders, wrap the pieces in copper tape, and solder your suncatcher together. This class takes approx. 3 hours, depending on the pace of the group. 6 students max.

Intermediate
Stained Glass Workshops

 

Level II (intermediate) stained glass workshops are available to students who have previously taken a workshop of any kind with me.

 
 
 
 

In this two-day class (8+ hours of instruction) you’ll create a 5”x7” design with more complex curves (with the option to use mirrored glass!), learn advanced soldering skills, sculpt your own wire embellishments, and more.

Sliding-Scale
Community Workshops

 

Once a month (ish) I offer single-day, sliding-scale stained glass classes to locals (New Mexico residents) at my art studio on Upper Canyon Road near downtown Santa Fe. This class is an accessible and beginner-friendly intro to making stained glass art. If you are Indigenous, this workshop is offered completely free of chargeLand Back!

 
 
 
 

After this 3-hour workshop, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind suncatcher, some formidable soldering skills, a deep appreciation for this complex craft,
and a few new friends!
